2006 Steering Committee Campaign
Who are Friends of 2-1-1?
Friends of 2-1-1 support 2-1-1 San Diego through tax-deductible
donations of all amounts, from ten dollars to thousands of dollars.
How can Steering Committee members support the Friends of 2-1-1?
2-1-1 Steering Committee members are challenged to:
- Make a personal donation towards the Friends of 2-1-1 campaign;
- Become a Friends of 2-1-1 Team Leader:
a. Establish a fundraising goal for your team of "Friends"
(coworkers, family, friends, etc) to raise a specific amount for
the campaign; and
b. Invite others to join the Friends of 2-1-1 and make
their own donation, helping you to realize your team's fundraising
goal.
When does the campaign end?
The 2006 Friends of 2-1-1 Campaign will launch March 1, 2006 and
end June 20, 2006
What is our overall fundraising goal?
Our 2006 fundraising goal is $20,000 for the Steering Committee
and Staff campaign - nearly doubling the amount raised in last year's
3-month campaign.
How do I begin?
Use the Friends of 2-1-1 materials to ask others' support of 2-1-1:
- Mail campaign materials to friends and family
- Send an email (sample letter included) asking for donations
at www.211sandiego.org
- Hand out Donation Forms and Return Envelopes to potential donors
